Sara Martin
Head
Sara Martin, a qualified English teacher, runs Hamilton Idiomas in Sopelana and Bilbao. Inspired by her own childhood summers spent in England, Sara has spent over 30 years giving Spanish students the same opportunity to improve their English through cultural immersion. Every student is personally interviewed by Sara to ensure they’re ready for the experience and to help match them with the right UK host family. She travels with the group to England, helps them settle in, and returns at the end of the stay, while her dedicated UK team supports students and families throughout. The program’s long-standing success is built on personal care, trust, and word-of-mouth recommendations.
Carlos Arturo Mogollon Perez

Carlos is a multilingual educator with a background in physics, philosophy, and community work. Passionate about cultural exchange, he supports students, families, and schools with care and insight. Now living on the Isle of Wight with his wife and daughters, he helps make every exchange a smooth and enriching experience.
Trudi Robbins
Host Family Organizer
Trudi, born in Kent and raised in France, brings a deep understanding of multiculturalism through her Anglo-Indian heritage and international education. A qualified languages teacher with a Master's in Education, she has led language departments across UK schools and has extensive experience organizing student exchange programmes.
Maria Gonzalez
Host Family Organizer
Maria, originally from Galicia in Spain, has lived in the UK since 1999. A fluent English and native Spanish speaker, she teaches at Marlborough College and runs the successful Marlborough Language Tutors’ Hub. With years of experience in language education, cultural exchanges, and hosting students herself, Maria brings valuable insight and warmth to every part of the programme.
Laura Smith
Host Family Organizer
Laura, originally from Costa Rica, has over 16 years’ experience teaching Spanish and a deep passion for sharing her language and culture. Now based in Somerset, she works as a private tutor and runs a long-standing after-school club. Since joining Hamilton UK in 2024, Laura’s warmth, expertise, and supportive approach have made her a valued link between students and host families.
